Two Characters at once! Week 1

So this time around (far as classes go) I'm taking a "Character Model and Sculpting" class. We have to make 2 Characters: One will be done in Maya and the other will be in Zbrush and one of them will be a girl and the other a guy.

I almost got all the sketch work done for the girl (Genevieve). My original plan was to look at Brian Kesinger's art work and make a character that was inspired by it.

She was going to be an awkward Steampunk chick.

 My first sketchings:
That's was the plan.

Her face drawing:

Then I saw One of Brian's drawings of a Pirate Girl.

So I started to go with Steampunck Pirate girl. Still awkward but more pirate-ty.

Waist down Sketchings:

Sketches of Sleeves:

 Waist up Sketch:

Then I started playing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

...........Awkward is now just a front for her. She can and will kill you in a second if given the chance.
(The brake down list is all the separate pieces I'm going to make. It's not complete yet)

So now I'm working on the sketches for her 'killer toys'. and what pose I'm going to put her in. Something that says "sure I'm awkward, but don't mess with me if you want to see another tomorrow"

.........

In Other News!

I've got a sketch of the guy I'm going to be working on.

He's kind of like Genevieve's opposite. He's an extremely awkward Viking.

....Let that sink in.

So I looked up viking names and I think this one is appropriate for him.

Odd!

And yes it is  an actual viking name. I checked.

So here's a sneek peek of what he might look like.

Thanks for visiting! :D
