Contortion Day 2

I actually made these sketches Friday night. I wanted to get an idea of what I was thinking before I forget what it was that I wanted to do.

This here is a sketching of the pose I want to put her in. In the smaller sketches it shows the front and side views. the full body sketch is her over all design sketch. I want her to have 4 (long) arms, so it'll add to the contorted look I want. also I want her to have log legs and a long torso. Again, to add to the contorted look.

Why is she balancing on a stick? Well one time (some years ago) I went and saw Cirque Du Soleil's  Varekai. There I saw their contortionist balancing on a steal rod with a 'block' on it. I found that so fascinating, so I thought it would be perfect/appropriate if my character did too.

On the right side are my notes. Keywords of her overall, you could say. The main Keyword of her is Long. I'll probably be saying long a lot throughout the project.

 Here are some Sketch ideas for her legs. I think if they bend like human legs it would be better for her contortionism, but I want to stay away from the human element as much as possible. I was thinking her legs should bend like an animal but I feel like that would cause more trouble for her when she dose her contortions. So I'm going to try to make her legs bend like human legs but have them oddly shaped so it looks like they should bend like animals do.Also I thought of the design for her 'leggings'. The design came pretty quickly.

I want her body to have a design to it kind of like Bo'sun from Pirates of the Caribbean and body paint put together. She's not wearing anything but yet it looks like she is.

The sketch on the right looks a little to Belly Dancer like. I would like to make her design more Victorian Gothic like or like AbigailLarson Style. But as you can see I've got a ways till I get the right idea out of my head and on paper.

  

For the coloring of her design I was thinking Black and White like the designs from the book Night Circus or at least a light and dark color theme.
